For THE Independent Paint Retailer

For more than 30 years, Mark Lipton has been an advocate and voice, in support of independent paint dealers.  His writing both informs and educates the channel while bringing attention to the issues that effect independent paint retailers.  

 

A fourth generation paint dealer, Mark sold his stores in the Bronx, NY in October of 2019 to focus on his writing & podcasting, strategic counseling and advocacy work.

About Me

I have spent over 30 years in the paint and coatings industry as an independent retailer, C-Suite level employee and consultant, coatings inspector, writer, podcaster and blogger.  

My family began its multi-generational journey in the paint industry in 1907 when my great-grandparents founded Tremont Paint in the Bronx, New York.

As a consultant, I have worked for CEOs, painting contractors, paint manufacturers, coatings specific software designers, coatings equipment manufacturers, paint retailers, and wholesalers, trade magazines, condominium complexes, real estate organizations, and many other individuals and organizations that needed success in their coatings related endeavors. 

Since selling my stores in 2019, I focus my attention on my writing & podcasting and dealer advocacy, consulting in the C-Suite on strategic issues and THE Revolution: My web site and e-commerce platform for independent paint dealers.
